Ili & the black sails was born in 2019, out of the wish of ili to create original music, after many years of band experience (like Uj Pa Gaz, One Drop, Bande Vacilando and others).
Black Sail Sound is an artivistic interactive sonic space between people who are temporarily sharing life together. It is an attempt to prove that music can create a positive socio-ecological impact. The separation between audience and artist is being broken and brought to proactive forms of co-existance. The visual aspect included fireshows, theatrical elements, shadow-theater and other interactive projections over time.

The first EP (Zukunftsmusik) was released online through SpinnUp in 2019 and is available on every music platform. It was written and performed by ili , recorded by tonstr. Studio and mixed and mastered by Trash House Nikky.
In the winter of 2019/2020 ili & Lenaïg travelled through Spain, France and Morocco with a solar powered Van Studio, recording people on the way and creating new music. They spread street music, music in communities (Anwesend) and culture centers (Sidi Ifni) and are temporarily based in Berlin and Brandenburg, making street music and working on new songs, as well as finishing the Quarantin Demo Tape.
On 6th of August 2020 ili & the black sails had their first shadow theater concert featuring a drummer (Lev) and singers (Her Ally, Lenaïg) as well as a light artist (Moko).
